What a night we had at our first Tartan Night of the year on Monday 16 April!  All had a lot of fun and it was great to see our new dancers doing so well. The hall was full with more than six sets on the floor, including two sets of visitors.

It was lovely to see former Club secretary John Munro amongst them, having made the trek over the hill from his new home in Featherston. The Club’s tartan bunting and musicians Peter Elmes, Don McKay, Aileen Logie and Hilary Ferral made for a lively and colourful night.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to making the Tartan Night such a success. Rod gave us an excellent programme as always and good preparation so we could all enjoy the night. Elaine and Loralee played their part in promoting the event to other clubs. It made a good night so much better to welcome so many visitors.

Club members rallied around to set up the hall, turn on a suppertime feast and make sure everyone had a good time on the dance floor. Check out the smiles in Loralee’s photos. Thank you all!
