Come along in summer beach gear or bright summer colours for this f un-filled evening of socialising\, dancing and eating!

\nT his year’s dinner food will be self-catered\, with pot-luck contributions from all those attending (as at our Summer Ceildih).

\n \nJohnsonville’s 2023 Club Dinner-dance is all a bout Stars and Stripes. Come along dress ed in stars or stripes\, as a tiger or a zebra\, a star of the stage or sc reen\, or just the star that you are. Family and friends welcome to this f un-filled evening of socialising\, dancing and eating!
\nAs usual\, there will be:
\nThe function room at the Johnsonville Club Inc\, 1 Norman Lane\, John sonville (up the laneway between CareVets and the Collective Community Hub ).
\nFREE for Johnsonville Sc ottish Country Dance Club Members\, $5 each for all guest s (including children).
\nSupplied by The C apital Bistro\, the onsite restaurant. What you pay depends on wh ich food you select when you register for the event. Vegan\, GF and DF opt ions are available to choose from.
\nAt the time of booking members pre-order food for themselves and guests from the menu we’ve supplied\, an d pay into the Johnsonville Scottish Country Dance Club account at the sam e time.
\nTake note of the cost of your meals as you enter them. You will need to pay the total and enter it later in the form before submitti ng your registration.

\n\n\n\nWe welcome you to our Beginners’ Cl asses on 12\, 19 & 26 February\, 7.30pm-9.30pm on Monday nights at Khandallah Town Hall\, 11 Ganges Road\, Khandal lah\, Wellington.
\n\n\n\nOur classes suit all ages from teenagers a nd upwards. You can get up to 5\,000 steps of your daily target for steps in a night of dancing!
\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoo rs open at 7.15pm. Come along then on the first n ight to register and be ready to dance at 7.30pm. Pay by cash at the door.
\n\n\n\nOur tutor Rod Downey will introdu ce the steps over the three weeks and you’ll be up and dancing during the first evening.

It is for those who would enjoy learning new dances and harder formations th at they may not encounter at club. Dances will be walked if required.
\nPlease bring your own water bottle. St Johns is on the hill six minut es’ walk from the Johnsonville train station and bus hub.

\nAlthough the dances will be walked and taught\, they will best suit those of intermediate level and above who know the co mmon formations\, including reels of three\, reels of four\, allemande\, d ouble triangles\, reel/jig poussette\, grand chain\, figure of 8 across an d on sides\, and ladies’ chain\, and can instantly identify corner positio ns.
