Christmas Lunch 2023: A good time in good company

Our Christmas lunch gathering is a lovely, relaxing way to end the club year. More than 25 people came along this year – it’s great to have the opportunity to slow down, sit around, and talk to each other. See more about this social afternoon

Halloween 2023

Johnsonville’s Halloween/Samhain celebrations are always a lot of fun. This year there were witches, wizards, and devils in their capes, hats, and horns. Plus skulls and skeletons, winged bats and lurking spiders. See more about this fun-filled evening

New Dancers’ Celebration 2023

Upwards of 80 dancers including 30 newer dancers took to the floor on 7 October in the Wairarapa College Hall in Masterton. Nineteen Johnsonville dancers made it over the hill for this celebration. Find out more about this fabulous evening of dancing

Glendarroch 60th Anniversary

A Grand 70th Birthday Bash!

Wellington musicians Lynne Scott and Aileen Logie invited dancers to celebrate their 70th birthdays with them and a number of musician friends at a special evening of dancing on 16 September. Find out more about this great treat!

Wellington’s Tuesday afternoon general dancing class was in fine form on 20 June with more than four sets of dancers taking to the floor. Finding our way through rather vigorous jigs and reels meant it didn’t take us long to warm up

An afternoon of Early Wellington Dances

A unique experience of our Scottish Country Dancing history: As part of the RSCDS Centenary Events, a lively crowd of close to 60 dancers gathered in Wellington on 29 April for an afternoon of trying out dances from our past. The club’s first tartan night of 2023 was a great success, full of happy faces and good spirits’. Having almost seven sets on the floor made for plenty of high spirits and laughter. And our MC, Rod made sure we all had a good time. Find out more
